    Looking for something to do this Independence Weekend 2014?  Here’s a few ideas:

    Thursday, July 3rd:

    Independence Festival at Salt River Fields:

    Come check out the family friendly event at Salt River Fields.  American Idol season 11 winner Phillip Phillps will be performing live.  Bring your blankets and seat cushions to enjoy the fireworks show.

    Details:  Gates open at 5pm, music starts at 5:30.  Salt River Fields, 7555 N Pima Rd, Salt River Reservation.  $25, free for age 10 or younger.  Parking $10 per vehicle.

     

    Independence Show at Lake Pleasant

    Spend the day on the lake and then enjoy the fireworks and fun in the evening.  There will be bounce houses, food, drinks and live music.  Helicopter rides will be available for an additional charge.

    Details:  5-11pm.  Pleasant Harbor RV Resort, 8708 W Harbor Blvd, Peoria.  $12 for parking

     

    Friday, July 4

    Fabulous Phoenix 4th

    The annual FREE show will be at Steele Indian School Park.  This event will feature live music, food and drink vendors and a kids zone with water rides.

    Details:  6-10pm.  Third Street and Indian School Road, Phoenix.  Free event

     

    Tempe Town Lake Festival

    Tempe Town Lake will be hosting their festival on July 4th.  This years festival will feature live music, family-fun zone and much more.  Bring your blankets and chairs to enjoy the evening.

    Details:  Gates open at 5pm.  Tempe Town Lake, Mill Ave and Rio Salado Parkway.  Admission $5 in advance, $8 at the gate.  VIP tickets are $60, $30 for ages 6  through 12.

     

    Peoria’s All American Festival

    On the West side of town enjoy the festival at Peoria Sports Complex.  This festival will have three stages with live music, eating contests, splash zone for the kids in addition to the fireworks.

    Details:  Gates open at 5pm.  Peoria Sport Complex 16101 N 83rd Ave.  $5, free for age 12 or younger.

     

    City of Goodyear’s 4th of July celebration

    Goodyear’s family fun event is a FREE event.  A few of the many activities include, live music, kids activities, photo booths, prize giveaways and much more.  Fireworks show will end the evening.

    Details:   6-10pm at Goodyear Ballpark, 1933 S Ballpark Way, Goodyear AZ

     

    Westgate Firework Show

    Also on the westside, Westgage Entertainment District will host a festival featuring live music on two stages, a beer garden and fireworks show.

    Details:  5-9:30pm.  Westgate Entertainment District, Loop 101 and Glendale Ave.

     

    4th of July Celebration in Scottsdale

    WestWorld of Scottsale’s festival will feature indoor zones with a bounce house, build-a-car race track, ice cream village, live music and much more.  With the purchase of a Mega Play Zone wristband you can enjoy laser tag, video game trucks and much more.

    Details:  2-9:30pm.  WestWorld of Scottsdale, 16601 N Pima Rd.  $15, $25-$30 VIP; $20 mega Play Zone wristbands.  $5 to park; $20 for fireworks-only parking.
